Went to my first anime convention this past weekend, it was fun but exausting. I will describe it but I won't gush and be all like

"OMG! OMG! And I was all like: lets go shopping! and she was all like: no no lets do pictures! so we like totally took pictures of the dealers room and it was EPIC!!"

because I don't do that. (even if my friends do)

How it went, was I had work on the friday of the con from 5:00 am to 1:30 pm, so when I got there on the bus at around 2:00 I was already tired. My first impression was that it was scary (I don't do crowds downtown by my self) needles to say I was not in cosplay.
None of my friends where there yet (including my staff friends) so I wondered around in the dealers room and bought some small items. I wandered the con until I spotted some friends. Most of that day was a lot of wandering and hanging out with various different groups of friends who were cosplaying or staffing or whatever. Also went to my first rave (numa) then went home with the naruto cos friend group, got to sleep at around 1:30.

Saturday before getting back to the con (didn't have work) went to Michaels art store with my nemesis (while the naruto folks fixed some bits of their outfits. Wen;t to get face paint to cos as a resident evil zombie, did not a bad job on it either. Left at around 5:00
going on the bus was funny. finally got there at so zombied around with the group, shopped, pictured, hung out and went to an AMV panel. It was good but it went on until around 9:00 and I had to go home to my house because of work at 6:00 am on sunday. so while the cos folks hung out one of my friends walked me to the bus stop and waited with me till it came. he was quite a gentleman and I am quite grateful to him.

stayed at my house that night and went to work again at 6:00 am on sunday, got to the con on the final day met up, hung out, went home with the same bunch, had dinner, played halo and went home. (then got 3 hours of sleep and went to work the next day)

Things I purchased: Serenity/firefly T-shirt, umbrella corp shirt, umbrella corp patches to go on my jacket, cat ears, a death note, a death note movie, a pocket watch, a sword (real and sharp) for my collection. and some other stuff I don't remember. all told I probably spent over $200.00 and wore my feet down to the bone.

Favorate cosplays I saw: Wesker, Dante, House and wilson, L, Lady, Auron and most of all Cortana in near full nudity.

It was good and next time I will cos for the whole thing.
